EMP3D is run by Tim Ellis, a 35 year old, professional digital artist, Maxwell Render trainer and Maxwell Render consultant, based near Leeds in England.
Tim has been working exclusively at Cityscape 3D for the last two and a half years using Maxwell Render versions 1 and 2, where he headed the Unbiased Lighting and Texturing department. |
Artistic from an early age, Tim progressed into digital art forms in 2002. He stumbled into 3D artwork, after hearing about people creating their own cars for the PC title 'Grand Theft Auto III'. He had been designing and sketching cars for years and the prospect of building one and then driving it in a game, had him hooked instantly. After downloading the free 3D modeling software Blender 3D and hundreds of tutorials, for which he's truly grateful to the creators, he learnt to create 3D digital artworks. Thanks to the incredible help and support from the Blender user forums and the other graphics forums Tim visits, he has been able to learn so much and constantly improve his skills. Check out the Links page for the forums. | As an avid musician, Tim has started 'monkey gloo records', an audio company involved in music production, recording, engineering and mastering. Currently, the team at monkey gloo records is hard at work with a reformed 'Quintessence', engineering and mastering a new Glastonbury Live album for release due in October 2010. The base model is a 2004 Honda Civic Type R. The car is sponsored by Nitrous Oxide Supplies UK | Linked in Profile Tim Ellis CV download - Right click & 'Save target as' Need Acrobat reader?
